The care of pet rodents such as hamsters, guinea pigs, rabbits, and chinchillas is built on core pillars such as nutrition, housing, and supporting gnawing habits. Health and care products, in-cage hygiene materials, balanced food mixes, and accessories enriching the living space directly determine the welfare of these creatures. The continuously growing tooth structure of rodents makes it mandatory for them to consume hard, fibrous foods and use gnawing stones.

Models with high ventilation capacity and easy cleaning should be chosen for cage layout, and dust-free sawdust or cellulosic products should be preferred as bedding materials. An environment equipped with tunnels, hiding houses, and exercise wheels must be created so they can stay socially and mentally active. While fresh vegetables and herbs are given in the diet, sugary foods that are not suitable for the digestive system must be strictly avoided.
